Collection of Swarms
Zoom in on the map (full screen using the "[ ]" at the top right corner) and phone a beekeeper from a nearby blue marker to have a swarm removed. There is generally no fee but in cases of unusual costs both parties can agree some form of reimbursement. The group does not warrant the services of the beekeeper(s) who all act individually and you are most welcome to phone a different one if you are not comfortable.
About this map:
The group has maps for beekeepers collecting swarms, tutin test results and CoI Inspectors. Blue markers are swarm collectors. You can find the other maps with other colour markers in their respective pages.

Collecting Beekeepers must agree to be available in working hours.
Collectors must be experienced at swarm collection and registered beekeepers with all their regulatory paperwork in full compliance.
If you are notified of a swarm, you must collect it promptly IF you agree to collect it.
If you agreed to collect, but things changed and you are not able to collect, you can call others on the list but it is your responsibility to do this.
If a swarm moves into a building it is no longer a swarm. Discuss any resident colonies with the homeowner, but you are not obliged to do anything.
If a swarm turns out to be wasps you are not obliged to do anything. But please advise the landowner about pest control options, including whether you are licensed to do pest control, as well as common wasp control products available from garden centre and hardware stores.

Note: This list is open to all beekeepers of all known groups, clubs and reputable societies if the beekeeper lives and operates in the BoP region. We do not warrant the ability of any beekeeper. However, if we receive complaints about a beekeeper we may decide to remove them from the map.
